Practical year (PJ) for medical students, optional subject ear, nose and throat medicine

The Martha-Maria Hospital Munich is a teaching hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich.

Since May 2014, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Martha-Maria Hospital Munich has been offering medical students the opportunity to complete the tertial ear, nose and throat medicine course. The interns are fully integrated into the specialized surgical activities and have the opportunity to discuss the outpatient and inpatient cases pre- and postoperatively. To the best of our knowledge, the interns are entrusted with their own cases and their treatment is supervised by the senior physicians. The study periods (learning-free) can be taken as a block at the end of the tertiary by arrangement.

As a special feature, the Martha-Maria Hospital remunerates the activity with 300,00 Euro per month.
